Weekend Shindigs...

What a crazy weekend it was. Almost every weekend there's something going on with bike shows or family functions or friends birthdays, etc.
This last Saturday we met up a TRI CO in the am, for coffee and donuts. Then rode down to the Born Free/Loser Machine Pre Party, at the Garage Co.

Then I went to my Uncle Mike's 50th Birth day party. He's a funny guy! Coolest uncle!

My lil sister Bunny had her 23rd Birthday celebration later that day in Long Beach.
So we had dinner with family and then went to our cousin ALEX'S BAR.

This is my Nina, Pretty Patty, she is crazy, straight outta COMPTON! Have a lot of great memories from when we used stay at her house in Compton growing up. She is sooo funny, so sweet and thoughtful too. I love her!
THE SHRINE

DEAD MEADOW
Both of these bands were bad ass.

Primo was there too.

We always stay at ALex's til at least 4am drinking and bullshitting, I love it. Good times with friends and family..... Now back to work....

DONE & DELIVERED

Started my day earlier yesterday. I had to shoot the finish clear on the flames. I got it done and dry enough to deliver to Kiyo at Garage Co. in the afternoon. After the party tomorrow I will take the tins back and shoot another round of clear and do the final wet sanding and polish on this motha...

Hope to see you there today!!!

Secret Stash

Made an emergency call to my friend Trevelen, for some Murano Gold Pearl.

Trev made a call to his homie Javi from Lifestyle CC and got a hold of some. He calls me later on to tell me that this pearl is special because it came from two of the Legendary painters Walt Prey and Mario Gomez personal stash from the Candy Factory. Trev and Javi told me DO NOT throw this jar away because it has a lot of sentimental value, they said to keep it and treasure it.

I want to thank them both for the great honor of having something so precious from two of the best painters that ever walked this earth and being allowed to use it on these flames, for the Born Free paint job. It means a lot to me!

I just hope that who ever takes this Chopper home, knows and appreciates this paint job. Its very hard to come across Murano Pearls these days because they don't make it any more, let alone get a supply from the late great Candy Factory painters.

{{{{{ FLAMES NEVER DIE }}}}}

After a lot of debating, Kiyo, Mike Davis, Michael Schmidt and I decided that some traditional flames will do this Born Free Chopper some justice. So, here we go.....

BRAGG Crane Services

My friend Noe, hooked me up with this job for the company he works for called Bragg Crane Services and Heavy Transportion, in Long Beach.
Noe and his team restored this old work horse, a 1956 Peterbilt. From what Noe tells me, it has been restored a couple of times but it has never looked this good. It's period correct now and with him being on the project, he has made sure that nothing has been over looked.
So glad to have been a part of this project! Now I can say I am a true pinstriper, now that I have completed a Pete! Big thanks Noe and Saul!!!
